Great review. I definitely heard the classical etude side of things in the music. Parts of it seemed to be in a classical mode, almost a regular major key, even, and I couldn’t tell if that was intentional on Cecil’s part or some product of the reverb. I’d half-expected him to spend some time doing very slow stuff, letting the reverb play out, but he decided to go all Cecil on our asses instead, which is fine. Awesome show.
