| You have a project playlist?! I do that too. Sometimes I make the playlist as a stalling routine. Sometimes I really need X music to write that particular story. I’ve found the editing stage is when I really need mood music so I can make my fiction what I want it to be. Great idea for your former students. I remember one of my junior high teachers using an old Stevie Wonder song “Used to Be” for something we had in class. Back then (rural East Texas, 1980s), you didn’t see much variation from the norm. I have never forgotten listening to that song or that teacher’s name. |
