Grim (12),The problem with Glen Rock, Ridgewood, etc…is that lots of the overpriced homes in the 450-600 K range are really starter homes. Granite kitchen counter tops just appreciated too fast. In 2006 when younger couples started buying in Midland Park and Hawthorne and (sometimes)paying private school tuition, the writing was on the wall. Once again…I’ll make the plug for western Essex and eastern Morris county for anyone that wants a similar quality of life, lower prices and lower taxes than Bergen county. BTW – mid 400′s is decent for that house…if the bones are good.
