| I don't think that they are the best things ever, but with so many impressionable youths reading the books and a large number loving them, I want to be able to steer discussion with friends and nieces to the positive aspects of the story and the characters. I agree that Bella and Edward are ciphers, to a degree, enabling the reader to read into their characters and motivations. |
