Mostly I use a Bernina Activa which is a fairly basic Bernina but it does everything you need and is about £700. I use mine everyday and as you have seen from my blog I stitch through virtually anything - plastic, metal and occasionally mini quilts! My advice though is go and try a few different machines first.
