This books indicates that they came very close to divorce.This book made it pretty clear that after she discovered FDR's affair, Eleanor had affairs with other women. Interesting as per this book FDR seemed to have cared less and even encouraged the relationships.I do not know if it was lack of enthusiasm on Brand's part.
